From time to time there is a pattern you fall in love at first sight. In this case it’s more a stitch pattern than a pattern itself, the “Jasmine stitch” I’ve fallen so deeply in love I made three cushion covers in one month.
The teal one is made in The Plucky Knitter Crew , in “technicolo teal”, very squishy and a pleasure to crochet. The yellow cushion is Rohrspatz & Wollmeise Blend , contains 20% cashmere, a dream to use and the “Oligo vergine” colourway is stunning! The natural one is from Garnstudio DROPS Puna, not my best choice… was difficult to crochet and the alpaca isn’t ideal to show of a stitch pattern.
The inspiration for the pattern was 11-02 Cushion by Fil Katia. Unfortunately the pattern isn’t really well written…Had to watch some Youtube videos (for example this one) to understand the Jasmine stitch and finally made up my own thing without following the pattern at all. It’s not a complicated stitch, but time consuming, as in the end you must pull your hook through 19 stitches at once! But the result is worth this effort!
